Selling is more about telling the customer 
For executing sales, products or services are offered to fulfill the needs of customers and sometimes, sales promotion is done to exploit the psychology of customer. 
Marketing is creating customer
For marketing, it starts with the objective of customer satisfaction and the offerings are made for creating value satisfaction of customers.Thus for marketing's main thrust is on customer expectation management and buyer-seller relationship gradually develops into customer loyalty.
